Ayesha Firdose zur nationalen DCB-Frauenbeauftragten ernannt 

Der Deutsche Cricket Bund freut sich, die Ernennung einer neuen nationalen Frauenbeauftragten bekannt zu geben. 

Ayesha Firdose aus Berlin wird nun die strategische Leitung übernehmen, um den zukünftigen Erfolg des Frauen-Cricket zu gestalten und das weitere Wachstum des Spiels in Deutschland voranzutreiben. Mit sechs entwickelten Frauen-Cricket-Regionen wird sie auch als Bindeglied zwischen den jeweiligen regionalen Frauenbeauftragten und dem DCB-Vorstand fungieren. 

Seit ihrem Umzug nach Deutschland war sie zunächst als Frauenbeauftragte in der Berlin Cricket Academy bevor sie die Rolle für die gesamte Ostregion übernahm – und nun das ganze Land. 

Ayeshas Motivation besteht darin, „ein Umfeld zu schaffen, in dem sich Cricketspielerinnen unterstützt, ermutigt und wertgeschätzt fühlen“ und zielt darauf ab, „ein starkes Kameradschaftsgefühl unter den Spielerinnen zu fördern, Mentoring-Möglichkeiten zu bieten und eine positive Sportkultur zu fördern, die alle Beteiligten (…) stärkt.” 

Ayesha Firdose appointed as DCB Women’s Officer 

 The Deutscher Cricket Bund is happy to announce the appointment of a new national Women’s Officer.

Ayesha Firdose from Berlin will now be the strategic lead for the DCB in shaping the future success of women’s cricket and driving the continued growth of the game in Germany. With six developed regions for the women’s game, she will also act as the link between the respective regional women’s officers and the DCB board. 

Since moving to Germany, she has been active as the Women’s Officer for her own club in Berlin, as well as the East region – and now the whole country. 

Ayesha’s motivation is „to create such an environment where women cricketers feel supported, encouraged, and celebrated“ and aims „to foster a strong sense of camaraderie among female players, provide mentorship opportunities, and promote a positive sporting culture that (…) empowers everyone involved.“
